Tom Bench DC, AP
SOT® Methods Chiropractor
Dr. Tom Bench is an Advanced Proficiency internationally certified SOT® Methods Practitioner. SOT® Methods (Sacro Occipital Technic) is a whole body Chiropractic Technique from head to toe– literally. He is trained to manipulate the cranial bones and extremities plus everything in between. Part of SOT® Methods is a technique called, CMRT. Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique is the link between your bones and your organs. Your organs have the potential to cause subluxations (misalignment of the vertebrae) just as subluxations can cause organ dysfunction. A thorough exam is completed to be sure we understand how and why your body is the way it is before we begin care. At Evolution Chiropractic, you will experience something new: A new way of thinking, a fresh approach to healing, caring and friendly staff, and an outlook on the synergy between medicine, homeopathy, and Chiropractic.
Dr. Tom Bench has achieved National medals in competitive speaking and debate, his Eagle Scout award, a Bachelors degree from BYU-Idaho and ultimately his graduate degree, Doctor of Chiropractic, from Palmer College, the original Chiropractic school. He has over 260 hours of extra training in SOT® Methods.
His latest feat was successfully working with a team aimed at re-branding SORSI (Sacro Occipital Research Society International) and SOTO International earning the Presidential Appreciation Award in 2011 and 2012! He served as SORSI Board Advisor 2010-2012. He directed the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation and its expansion to the other Palmer College campuses in Florida and California while he was President. Dr. Bench opened the doors for chiropractic interns into the Jackson, MS VA Medical Center by being the first to fulfill this task.
Dr. Bench currently serves as Vice President for the IACP (Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians).
Dr. Tom’s passions include running, outdoors, miracles of the body and spending time with his wife and six children.
His dreams are to bring a new way of thinking to health care through his business, Evolution Chiropractic and to bring chiropractic care to everyone in the Eastern Idaho Region.
A message from Dr. Bench:
“Thanks for visiting the site today! I hope you find what you are looking for. At Evolution we are focusing the attention on your needs and are here to serve you. I want you to know that it is my goal to give you the best care you have ever received. This all begins with an exam. I find it intriguing to really see what information your body is telling us. Once we know that, I give myself some homework! I take the day to think over the things we saw, heard, and discovered. The synthesis gives me the opportunity to take all things into consideration. Then I decide if you would be most benefited from a course of care in our office. I feel your health is a sacred trust. Thank you for letting us care for you. We won’t let you down.”

“Having practiced in Boise for 3 years I felt I wasn’t getting what I wanted out of chiropractic and that there was much more I could offer people. Joining Evolution has been the greatest experience I could have ever wished for! I am now able to treat more than just sore backs, but look at the body as a whole and take chiropractic from a pain management system, to a lifestyle, and a new way of thinking.”

“‘Sup peeps! I was born here in I.F. and really don’t plan on leaving! I am the oldest of three boys, although my younger bros are quite larger than I am. Growing up I lived in Iona and Rigby. I went to Bonneville High School and played football, basketball and baseball. After graduating in 2013, I moved to Ghana, Africa serving a two year LDS mission. It was amazing! About 2 months after returning I met a beautiful gal who I married 9 months later in May. We have been married for 7 months now and it’s pretty crazy awesome!”
“I freaking love working at Evo Chiro. To me, it has always been my dream and drive to help people become better, whether that is physically, mentally, or emotionally. At the office, I get all of that. I have found my home! It has been a pleasure in getting to know the Evo tribe and become a part of something that is uniquely amazing! #EvoFam “
