FAQs

Question: What is an SOT™ Methods Chiropractor?

Answer: Dr. Tom Bench is an internationally certified SOT™ Methods Practitioner. SOT™ Methods (Sacro Occipital Technic) is a whole body Chiropractic Technique from head to toe---literally. He manipulates the cranial bones and extremities plus everything in between. Part of SOT™ Methods is a technique called, CMRT.  Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique is the link between your bones and your organs. Your organs have the potential to cause subluxations (misalignment of the vertebrae) just as subluxations can cause organ dysfunction.

Question: What are the most common reasons people go to a Chiropractor?

Answer: This is one of my favorite questions to answer. Most believe that people go to the Chiropractor for pain or stiffness. But at Evolution we know that they go because the pain and stiffness are effecting their life in a negative way so they seek out for other options. For example, the mother who can't play with her kids on the floor because of_________or the dad that can't get through the work day anymore or the teen that can't compete at optimal level because of __________ or the grandparent that can't drive in the car to visit family.

Question: What makes Evolution Chiropractic so evolutionary?

Answer: One word: together. We are re-thinking health care as we work side by side with other health care professionals for your benefit. Professionals include: Medical doctors, Dentists, Orthopedists, Surgeons, Physical Therapists, Endocrinologist and much more. We are not concerned about being your one and only care professional. We believe in the synergy that comes from combining knowledge and we adhere to the saying, "Two heads are better than one!"

Question: How frequently should I visit the Chiropractor for follow up exams?

Answer: Care is individual and based upon your exam findings, history and general overall health status. We will never give anyone a, "one size fits all" care plan, nor force you into repeated appointments. Your specific case will be discussed with you before we begin.

Question: Are Chiropractic exams/adjustments painful?

Answer: Every patient experiences something different. Dr. Bench has been certified in multiple types of Chiropractic to give you the best care you need taking into account both safety and comfort. Most commonly first time patients will feel general soreness much like one who goes to the gym for the first time. This is your body's natural response to change. If you are concerned call the office to know more.

Question: Should I use a Chiropractor instead of a general physician?

Answer: No, our revolutionary thought process encourages inter-practitioner communication, meaning we want to work along side your established providers for your benefit. Our main goal is to work with you and everyone else that is on your team of health care professionals.
